For the essay I decided to look into advertisement of the tobacco industry identifying the significant pieces of propaganda and ethics. We live in a day and age were anti smoking advertisers are convincing audiences to give up smoking; however I learnt that in much poor countries around the world there are tobacco companies that are advertising their cigarette brands to the audiences, persuading people to smoke without giving them the awareness on the health issues. I thought this was an interesting and intriguing topic as the designer seems that they heavily involved with debate on tobacco advertisement as the designer is able to communicate to its audience through the means of propaganda.
